Panera Bread – Seekonk, MA
October 17, 2016
Often times when I travel solo and have to dine out, I am treated as if I am either invisible or a bother to the wait staff.
I am in Massachusetts for the week and my first thought upon picking up my rental car is to grab a bite for lunch. My client recommended the Panera Bread in Seekonk.
Approaching the register and undecided on what to order; I ask the cashier, Susan, if the Panera menu includes gluten-free items. Susan tells me that it does not, but carves out time to work with me to build an entree that would fit my gluten-free diet. As she begins to recommend items that might fall within my dietary guidelines, she pulls out a thick binder and shows me what ingredients are in the recommendations that she has suggested. In an effort to ensure that I am completely satisfied with my selections, Susan and I must have stood there for at least 15 minutes before I decided on my entree. She literally gave me the VIP treatment with how she chose to be patient and helpful; taking her time with me to make sure I had everything I needed.
I appreciate Susan for putting into practice what every customer should experience each and every time they patronize a business for service.
I gladly give this dining experience a 4 out of 5 stars! If this Panera location offered a gluten-free menu, it could easily have earned 5 out 5.
